For our second unit of study we will be exploring why people take the risk and the chance to leave familiar territory and venture into uncharted territory (in whatever shape or form this

CLASS TIME ON 10/07
Hi guys - I am not feeling well today so we are going to have to push our Seminar back till Tuesday. Instead, I'd like you guys to work on building some background knowledge on Colonial America to better prepare you for some reading we will do next week. Here is what I would like for you guys to work on and complete in class today :
2) Logon in the top right corner with the username : cfastudent. There is no password required.
3) In the box in the top right that says QL# -- type the number 21. This will take you to an activity that should say "Welcome to Colonial Experiment"
4) Click on the Focus tab in the top left -- read the directions and complete tabs 1-4 along the bottom of the box. You ONLY need to do 1-4 at this time.
5) When you are done, you should have answered all 4 questions on a sheet of paper. Your answers should be in complete sentences and should be a few sentences each. Please turn in to your substitute when you are finished.
When done with this - you can work on preparing more for your Seminar on Tuesday. Your homework for the weekend will also be to answer the quick survey found on the home page of our wiki. You may work on answering that as well if you have time in class. Have a nice weekend and see you Tuesday!
ASSIGNMENT : For class on Wednesday 10/05 - please read and be ready to discuss this very short piece on why people choose to migrate.
Also - I would like for you to brainstorm as many ways as possible for why people immigrate to a new place. Share your ideas on this wiki
page below. Please put your initials next to your responses.
